Please scroll to thebottom of this page under the heading Full Announcement and Other Filesandclick on the link to access the Master Announcement.The Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory(NETL), onbehalf of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy?s (EERE)Building Technologies Program (BTP), is seeking applications for thedevelopment of innovative technologies and approaches that have thepotentialto yield significant energy savings in residential and commercialbuildings.The projects sought will advance the development of, or adoption of, energyefficient equipment, envelope, and whole building technologies. Theobjectiveis to accelerate high-payoff technologies and approaches that, because oftheirrisk, are unlikely to be developed in a timely manner without a partnershipbetween industry and the Federal government.This Funding Opportunity Announcement contains four Areas of Interest. Thefirst area seeks projects for windows research and development, focusing onthenext generation of high efficiency fenestration products. The second areaseeks projects that will promote increased penetration of energy efficientwindows in today?s marketplace. The third area seeks projects for anintegrated systems approach to development of more energy efficienttechnologies, production methods and design approaches applicable to theindustrialized housing industry. The fourth area seeks projects forfurtheradvancement of DOE?s EnergyPlus design analysis tool and coordination ofothers? efforts in this area.REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: As part of the Department?s implementation ofe-Government, we are requiring the submission of applications throughGrants.gov. There are several one-time actions you must complete in ordertosubmit an application through Grants.gov (e.g., obtain a Dun and BradstreetData Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, register with the CentralContractor Registry (CCR), register with the credential provider andregisterwith Grants.gov). You must complete all the one-time actions in ?GetStarted?at www.Grants.gov prior to submitting your initial application. Applicantswhoare not registered with CCR and Grants.gov should allow at least 14 days tocomplete these requirements. It is suggested that the process be startedassoon as possible.You are strongly cautioned to begin transmission at least 24 hours inadvanceto allow for sufficient time for uploading files, and to ensure adequatetimeto address problems or concerns with transmission of your application, ifany.Questions relating to the Grants.gov system or on how to submit anapplicationshould be directed to support@grants.gov or 1-800-518-4726.Applications cannot be submitted under the Master Announcement(DE-PS26-05NT42115-00).
